Ellie Warburtons Cakes launches store and eat in experience in the heart of york

This week sees the opening of a second Northern location for our cake brand

Following last year’s launch of Ellie Warburtons Cakes, we are pleased to share that a new store, complete with an eat in experience, has been unveiled in the city of York this week.

The grand opening of Ellie Warburtons Cakes York on Wednesday 25^th May invited visitors to sample some of the deliciously fresh bakes including the best-selling Raspberry Brownie.

Making it the perfect pit shop for hungry shoppers, the new store is located on Stonegate in the city centre and housed in a beautifully historic 300 year old building. With seating for thirty customers, the experience will offer customers their signature range of premium sweet treats to eat in or take away, alongside special-blend coffees, locally sourced teas and a menu of other baked goods including a first for Warburtons – our very own banana fruit bread!

We already have a range of bakery products including bread, bagels and crumpets, and Ellie Warburtons Cakes builds on the family business’ 146-year heritage with a delectable line up of eight mouth-watering flavours of cakes including the wonderfully indulgent Cookie Dough with Caramel Slice and zesty Ginger with Orange cake.

The cakes recently appeared on Channel 4’s Inside the Superbrands series, in which, as a result, the online store sold out completely in one evening!

The original pop-up store located in Skipton remains open Monday – Saturday from 9am – 5pm as cake lovers can also order the cakes online for delivery direct to their home; making the perfect gift for family or to enjoy when gathered with friends.
