We’ve reached our £4 million milestone for Cancer Research UK

We’re proud to announce that we’ve raised £4 million for Cancer Research UK through employee donations

Driven by Charity Champions right across the country, our people have been passionately raising money through all sorts of initiatives from bake sales and tombolas, sports matches and marathons, to donation stations and payroll giving.

Since 2015, our people have been passionately raising money for CRUK through all sorts of initiatives from bake sales and tombolas, hikes, bikes, swims and marathons, to donation stations and through payroll giving.

We are united by a shared ambition to help fund life saving research and improve cancer outcomes for people across the UK. What started as an ambitious fundraising goal has grown into a long term national partnership, powered by the passion, commitment and generosity of our people.

We are now proud to announce that colleagues across the business have helped raise an incredible £4 million for Cancer Research UK, marking a major milestone in our long standing partnership with the charity.

Reaching £4 million is a reflection of the many ways colleagues have got involved over the years – from walking, running and cycling challenges, to bake sales, fundraising events, volunteering and donations. Teams across our bakeries, depots and offices have shown what’s possible when everyone comes together for a shared cause. Importantly, money raised locally helps to support Cancer Research UK’s research centres and projects close to our sites, meaning our fundraising has a direct impact in the communities where we live and work. Every event, challenge and donation helps scientists to continue their vital work into the causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

This £4 million milestone is a moment to pause and say thank you to everyone who has supported the partnership over the last decade. It is an achievement driven entirely by our colleagues and their determination to make a difference.

As we look ahead, Warburtons remains committed to continuing our support for Cancer Research UK and helping to fund research that saves lives.
