Our commitment to healthy, balanced eating means that over 70% of our range is a source of, or high in protein, contributing essential nutrients to your diet.
Our Protein Range
Protein is a key building block for everyone, playing a huge role in keeping our bodies healthy and strong. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass, as well as the maintenance of muscle mass. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Protein should be consumed as part of a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle.
We know how important it is to get enough of this vital nutrient, especially for those with active lifestyles or seeking extra nourishment. We’re always looking at how we can bring you products that fit into a healthy, balanced diet, that’s why all types of bread, including white bread, contribute a range of essential nutrients, including protein.
To make it even easier for you to get the protein you need in a way that works best for your lifestyle, we also have our dedicated Protein range. This range is designed to give you a boost of protein in a convenient and tasty way, whether for a quick lunch, a post-workout snack, or as a versatile base for your favourite meals. We’ve carefully crafted these products to ensure they not only deliver on protein but also maintain the great taste and quality you expect from Warburtons.
All About Protein
Why is Protein Important?
This vital nutrient plays a huge role in keeping our bodies healthy and strong. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass, as well as the maintenance of muscle mass. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Protein should be consumed as part of a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle.
Recommended Intake
Getting enough protein is important for everyone, from growing children to active adults. While individual needs can vary, a general guideline for adults is around 0.75g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. For example, if you weigh 70kg, you’d aim for about 52.5g of protein daily. It’s always best to spread your protein intake throughout the day.
Getting Protein into your Diet

- Meat and Poultry: Chicken, beef, lamb, and turkey are classic protein sources.
- Fish: Oily fish like salmon and mackerel, as well as white fish like cod and haddock, are excellent.
- Eggs: A versatile and complete protein source.
- Dairy Products: Milk, cheese, and yogurt are not only tasty but also rich in protein.
- Legumes: Lentils, beans, and chickpeas are fantastic plant-based protein options.
- Nuts and Seeds: Almonds, peanuts, chia seeds, and pumpkin seeds offer a good protein boost.
- Grains: While often known for carbohydrates, whole grains like oats and quinoa also provide protein.
