Ingredients FAQs

Q. Are any of your products yeast free?
A. Yes - Warburtons Potato Cakes and Pancakes do not contain yeast.
Q. Do any of your products contain genetically modified ingredients?
A. We pride ourselves on using natural, wholesome ingredients and take great care to ensure they are not genetically modified.
 
Bread ingredients
Q. Do any of your products contain hydrogenated fats?
A. Our products do not contain hydrogenated fats.
 
Q. What is calcium propionate?
A. An ingredient used to inhibit mould growth, so improving the keeping qualities of our products.
 
Q. Why do you use salt in your bread?
A.Salt is needed in breadmaking to help improve product texture, add flavour and help enhance its keeping qualities, controlling yeast fermentation.
 
Q. Which vitamins are in bread?
