Warburtons employee Mark Platt has recently been promoted to the role of sales and distribution manager at the family bakers' Oldham bakery.
Mark, who has worked for the business for 18 years, joined as a salesman at 27-years-of-age and has recently been promoted to the new position at the bakery based on Glebe Street, Shaw.
From his position as a salesman, he moved into sales development and was soon promoted to duty supervisor, before becoming van operations manager.
In his new role he will be responsible for the sales and dispatch teams, as well as the garage and 45-strong fleet of vehicles. He reports to the bakery's general manager, Duncan Lees.
On his promotion, a delighted Mark said: "I am really looking forward to my new role at the bakery and the challenges it will bring. I have been with the business for a long time and have seen many changes over the years. The new role brings a much greater level of responsibility with it - which I relish.
He continued: "I have a brilliant team of people around me, who all strive for the same goals - its all about quality of service at Warburtons - it runs through peoples' veins here - everybody really does care about the product and service they deliver."
