After successfully completing 'How healthy is your diet?' most children should be able to:

Design and Technology

Identify the different food groups in the 'balanced plate'.

Put commonly eaten foods in their correct food groups.

Mathematics

Collect and present data quickly using tally charts and frequency tables.

Draw simple conclusions from a pie chart, make comparisons between pie charts.

Use precise mathematical language and vocabulary for handling data.

Science

Name at least three foods from each of the five main food groups.

Make and record observations and make simple comparisons.

ICT

Enter numerical data into a simple spreadsheet.

Use the graphing facility of a spreadsheet package to view and analyse pie charts.
