Warburtons continue to support local agriculture

Family baker Warburtons has continued its association with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) by raising £500 for the second year running at the Myerscough college Open Day and County Event , held at Bilsborrow, Preston .

The family bakers took a large space within the event's ‘ Made in Lancashire ' marquee at the show in June, which attracted over 8000 visitors.

Warburtons representatives were on hand to sell fantastic value goody bags for a donation of £1 and held ‘Taste the difference' challenges to win prizes like toasters and pogo sticks .

Chris Andrews, regional officer for RABI in the North, who received the donation on the institution's behalf, said: “Warburtons continued support is most welcome and greatly needed. Last year's donation went directly to the farming community in the North of England, providing assistance for retired, disabled and working farmers, and this one shall do the same.”

Mike Mason, business development officer for Warburtons, said: “Everybody at Warburtons is very pleased to be supporting a cause that is so close to our industry. We always strive to use the highest quality ingredients.”
